HEiKA-Retreat from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. with a focus on joint scientific endeavours. As our special guest Cornelia Lee-Thedieck was with us, who gave us a talk about Stem cell-material interactions.
HEiKA-Summerparty started 6:00 p.m. at the "Fasanenschlösschen". Meet and chat about your next joint research project, or just have a good time and meet like-minded people from KIT and Heidelberg University (and beyond).

Walk together to the HEiKA SUMMER PARTY at the Fasanenschlösschen
In our HEiKA retreat at the Hochspannungstechnik-Hörsaal (HSI, Geb. 30.35), KIT, Campus Süd, Engesserstr. 11, 76131 Karlsruhe we will get an insight and outlook of the 2 funded initiatives in HEiKAexplore:
- "Autonomous driving in law, technology and society – from vision to realization" (Albert Albers)
- "Robots and Sensors for disease diagnostics & therapy" (Frank Breitling)
Afterwards we are very happy to have a talk of one of our HEiKA- and KIT-alumna, Prof. Dr. Cornelia Lee-Thedieck, who is now at the Leibniz University Hannover, Head of Institute of Cell Biology and Biophysics.
We are looking forward to her talk about:
"Stem cell-material interactions: How materials science helps to unlock potential stem cell applications".
After the HEiKA retreat, we will walk together to the Fasanenschlösschen (5-minute-walk) to our Summer Party.
In the courtyard of the Fasanenschlösschen you may network with colleagues and plan your next activities in a pleasant atmosphere with snacks from the grill and cool summer drinks...
