Tailored photolabile compounds/3D/2D scaffolds
Synthesis of light-triggered organic compounds to chemically fixate living cells for light microscopy and synthesis/characterization of light-modulable 3D/2D polymer scaffolds to investigate biocompatibility and effects within biological tissue after photo-release. The novel structural motives are based on ortho-Nitrobenzyl groups for ensuring efficient photo release and follow established Norrish type mechanisms.
