On July 22, 2026, outstanding early-career researchers will gather at Heidelberg University (Marsilius Kolleg) to pitch their innovative ideas in just three minutes to a distinguished jury from academia and industry.

What Is Falling Walls Lab?

The Lab is part of the international initiative led by the Falling Walls Foundation, which promotes visionary research and solutions to global challenges — including sustainability, health, climate change, security, and digital transformation.

The winner of the Baden-Württemberg Lab advances to the global final in Berlin, where leading figures from science, business, and policymaking come together to shape the future.

Falling Walls Lab Baden-Württemberg 2026 is hosted by Heidelberg University in collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the University of Stuttgart, the University of Konstanz and HEiKA – Heidelberg Karlsruhe Strategic Partnership.
