If the future of the world was still part of a divine plan in the late Middle Ages, the future at the end of the early modern era seems less determined by Providence than by scientific laws that can be determined by observation and extrapolation. The aim of the research project is to explore the transformation of theological and mantic knowledge claims about the future into scientific models in German and European cultural space and to describe their integration into literary and non-literary textual worlds. A medievalist subproject investigates the staging of future knowledge in the late medieval and early modern prose novel, a neo-Germanist subproject investigates the narrative imparting of prognosis knowledge in European narrative literature from the 16th to the 18th century against the background of the emergence of modern science. Both sub-projects connect chronologically and thematically directly with each other.</p> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-research-bridges field--type-entity-reference field--label-above"> <div class="field__label">Research bridges</div> <div class="field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/index.php/en/research/heikaexplore" hreflang="en">HEiKAexplore</a></div> </div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-start-date field--type-datetime field--label-above"> <div class="field__label">Start date</div> <div class="field__item"> <time datetime="2018-01-01T12:00:00Z" class="datetime">01/01/2018</time> </div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-end-date field--type-datetime field--label-hidden field__item"><time datetime="2018-12-31T12:00:00Z" class="datetime">12/31/2018</time> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-contact-person field--type-entity-reference field--label-above"> <div class="field__label"><h3>Project management</h3></div> <div class="field__items"> <article data-history-node-id="92" role="article" about="/index.php/en/prof-dr-dirk-werle" class="node node--type-people-profile node--view-mode-teaser"> <div class="node__content"> <div class="content-container"> <div class="header-container"> <h2> <a href="/index.php/en/prof-dr-dirk-werle" rel="bookmark"><span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">Prof. Dr. Dirk Werle</span> </a> </h2> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-institute field--type-string field--label-hidden field__item">Germanistisches Seminar</div> <div class="field field--name-field-facility field--type-string field--label-hidden field__item">University of Heidelberg</div> <div class="field field--name-field-link field--type-link field--label-hidden field__item"><a href="https://www.gs.uni-heidelberg.de/ndl/werle/index.html">Dirk Werle</a></div> </div> </div> </article> <article data-history-node-id="115" role="article" about="/index.php/en/prof-dr-phil-mathias-herweg" class="node node--type-people-profile node--view-mode-teaser"> <div class="node__content"> <div class="content-container"> <div class="header-container"> <h2> <a href="/index.php/en/prof-dr-phil-mathias-herweg" rel="bookmark"><span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">Prof. Dr. phil. Secondly, regional network actors are identified and analyzed with regard to their role as bearers of specific knowledge in governance processes of resource efficiency. The interdisciplinary analysis reveals discrepancies between the actual provision of ecosystem services by these spaces, various spatial perceptions and demands of residents and the assessment of planners and politicians, each following different logics and argumentations. </span></span></span></p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-research-bridges field--type-entity-reference field--label-above"> <div class="field__label">Research bridges</div> <div class="field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/index.php/en/research/heikaexplore" hreflang="en">HEiKAexplore</a></div> </div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-start-date field--type-datetime field--label-above"> <div class="field__label">Start date</div> <div class="field__item"> <time datetime="2017-04-01T12:00:00Z" class="datetime">04/01/2017</time> </div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-contact-person field--type-entity-reference field--label-above"> <div class="field__label"><h3>Project management</h3></div> <div class="field__items"> <article data-history-node-id="165" role="article" about="/index.php/en/jun-prof-dr-anna-growe" class="node node--type-people-profile node--view-mode-teaser"> <div class="node__content"> <div class="content-container"> <div class="header-container"> <h2> <a href="/index.php/en/jun-prof-dr-anna-growe" rel="bookmark"><span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">Jun.-Prof. Dr. Anna Growe</span> </a> </h2> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-institute field--type-string field--label-hidden field__item">Institute of Geography</div> <div class="field field--name-field-facility field--type-string field--label-hidden field__item">Heidelberg University</div> <div class="field field--name-field-link field--type-link field--label-hidden field__item"><a href="https://www.geog.uni-heidelberg.de/regov/growe.html">Anna Growe</a></div> </div> </div> </article> <article data-history-node-id="166" role="article" about="/index.php/en/dr-christoph-mager" class="node node--type-people-profile node--view-mode-teaser"> <div class="node__content"> <div class="content-container"> <div class="header-container"> <h2> <a href="/index.php/en/dr-christoph-mager" rel="bookmark"><span class="field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden">Dr.
